Portside is a cloud-based software platform serving the global aviation industry, powering operations across business aviation, regional airlines, and aircraft leasing & finance for over 1,000 organizations. Backed by Vista Equity Partners and Insight Partners, the company is in a growth phase, investing in AI-driven innovation and expanding its platform.
You will join as a Product Manager on Horizon, Portside's cloud-based flight management platform. Horizon unifies aircraft scheduling, crew management, compliance tracking, and financial operations into a single connected system with advanced analytics and integrations. The platform serves flight departments, fractional ownership programs, and jet card operators of all sizes.
In this role, you'll own a segment of the Horizon product roadmap and translate outcomes and priorities from product leadership into shipped features and improvements. You'll collaborate day-to-day with a small cross-functional team of engineers and others, and with the broader product team, to make and execute product decisions. You'll maintain regular, direct conversations with customers to inform requirements and validate ideas before committing engineering time. You'll synthesize customer input, support themes, and usage data into clear priorities, and own specific projects and initiatives end-to-end with oversight from product leadership.
You'll own releases for your area, including release notes, briefing Sales, Customer Success, and Support ahead of customer-facing changes, and measuring adoption against targets. You'll communicate clearly with stakeholders across departments, framing product work in terms of business impact—revenue, retention, cost, risk—rather than features alone. You'll incorporate AI tools into your day-to-day work, including prototyping, PRD writing, and accelerating routine tasks.
The ideal candidate takes ownership of problems until they're genuinely resolved, is curious by nature, verifies assumptions, and raises concerns before small issues compound. You're genuinely invested in customer outcomes, collaborative, low-ego, and thrive as part of a team.
