HeartFlow is a publicly traded medical technology company (HTFL) that develops AI-driven diagnostic solutions for coronary artery disease, the leading cause of death worldwide. The flagship product, HeartFlow FFR_CT Analysis, provides a 3D, color-coded model of coronary arteries to help clinicians assess blood flow and identify stenoses. The company's integrated platform also includes RoadMap Analysis for stenosis identification and Plaque Analysis for atherosclerosis characterization. Used by over 750,000 patients globally, HeartFlow is cleared in the US, UK, Europe, Japan, and Canada.
This product management role is designed for a recent MBA graduate ready to build products that transform heart disease diagnosis and management. You will own a customer-facing area of the HeartFlow platform, ensuring it integrates seamlessly into hospital workflows, imaging center operations, and physician practices.
Key responsibilities include:
• Customer Discovery: Conduct on-site visits with cardiologists, radiologists, CT technologists, and health-system administrators to understand end-to-end CCTA program workflows from referral through scan acquisition, interpretation, reporting, and follow-up. Translate observations into clear problem statements.
• Workflow & Integration: Define how the HeartFlow platform fits into clinical and IT environments (EMR, PACS, reporting systems). Partner with engineering to deliver integrations that reduce friction.
• Requirements & Design: Write user needs, use cases, and functional requirements. Collaborate with UX and Product Design on workflows and wireframes, leading design reviews through to shippable features.
• Business Case & Prioritization: Build business cases for features covering market size, customer value, adoption, reimbursement, and revenue impact. Use these to prioritize roadmap decisions with leadership and stakeholders.
• Delivery: Work with engineering through implementation, manage scope and timing trade-offs, evaluate prototypes, and prioritize defects by customer and patient impact.
• Launch & Adoption: Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Education on launch readiness, positioning, training, and onboarding. Track post-release adoption and feed learnings back into the roadmap.
• Quality & Compliance: Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory to maintain traceable requirements and audit-ready design history under design controls. Evaluate all changes for impact on user error, patient safety, privacy, and security.
• Communication: Provide product leadership and cross-functional partners with clear, data-backed updates on progress, customer feedback, and risk.
You will bring business judgment, customer orientation, technical aptitude, genuine healthcare interest, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. You should have a strong eye for workflow and usability, especially where product output informs clinical decisions, and a bias for action in a regulated environment.
Requirements:
• MBA, recently completed or to be completed before start date
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related technical/scientific field (strongly preferred)
• 5–7 years of professional experience before or during MBA in product management, engineering, consulting, healthcare, medical devices, or health technology
• Product management internship or experience with FDA-regulated software or Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) is a plus
• Familiarity with cardiology, medical imaging, or reimbursement is a plus
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (approximately 20%)
• On-site role in San Francisco, CA or Rohnert Park, CA office
