Scalable Capital, a leading European fintech platform with over 1 million clients and €50+ billion in assets under management, is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of an internal "AI as a Platform" offering.
In this foundational role, you will define and scale AI capabilities across the entire organization, moving from siloed solutions to a unified, compliant, and robust internal platform. You will act as the key bridge between technical teams (Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Software Engineers), internal domain teams, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure AI is integrated effectively, securely, and ethically.
Key responsibilities include:
• Defining and owning the strategic roadmap for the internal AI Platform, ensuring it provides robust, scalable, and easy-to-integrate services for all internal teams to consume AI capabilities without external API dependencies.
• Collaborating with domain and product teams to identify AI opportunities in two areas: (1) Client Experience—enhancing core product functionality through predictive modeling and personalization; (2) Operational Efficiency—improving system scalability, fraud detection, and performance.
• Driving implementation of strategic AI use cases across the company, aligning timelines and coordinating across AI platform, domain teams, mobile, and other functions.
• Acting as the product driver for AI compliance and governance, defining approaches to ensure all models and data usage are secure and compliant with current and emerging data protection laws.
• Supporting planning, launch, and post-launch monitoring of new client-facing AI features, ensuring smooth coordination across Product, Engineering, Data, Operations, and Compliance.
• Leading the product development process for the cross-functional AI Platform team, managing agile processes, backlogs, and planning sessions, and translating business goals into actionable user stories for Data Scientists and ML/AI Engineers.
• Leveraging data analysis, user needs, market trends, and insights from LLM/AI system outputs to continuously inform and evolve the AI Platform vision and strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven experience as a Product Manager working on backend services, APIs, or AI-powered products, ideally serving multiple client-facing teams.
• High-level understanding of modern AI concepts such as LLMs, prompt design, agent architectures, and evaluation approaches.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and work effectively with engineering and Data Science teams; a technical degree is a strong plus.
• Good understanding of how AI-powered services are built and evaluated, with experience working effectively with Data Scientists and AI/ML Engineers.
• Demonstrated understanding of the AI regulatory landscape, compliance requirements, and data governance principles (e.g., experience collaborating with DPO/Legal teams).
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking, with ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative data to drive complex platform decisions.
• Hands-on approach and ability to take ownership of the product development process from ideation and compliance review to scalable launch.
• Excellent English communication skills, with ability to convey complex topics clearly to engineers, executives, and legal counsel (German is a plus).
