Scalable Capital, a leading European fintech platform with over €50 billion in assets under management and 700+ employees, is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of an internal "AI as a Platform" offering. This is a foundational role that will define and scale AI capabilities across the entire organization, moving from siloed solutions to a unified, compliant, and robust platform.
You will own the strategic roadmap for the AI Platform, ensuring it provides scalable, easy-to-integrate services for all internal domain and product teams. Working closely with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Software Engineers, and regulatory stakeholders, you will act as the critical bridge between technical development, internal teams, and compliance functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and prioritizing the AI Platform roadmap to enable internal teams to consume AI capabilities without external API dependencies
- Identifying and collaborating on AI opportunities across client experience (predictive modeling, personalization) and operational efficiency (fraud detection, system scalability)
- Driving implementation of strategic AI use cases, aligning timelines across teams
- Leading AI compliance, governance, and ethical usage; ensuring regulatory adherence and data protection compliance
- Supporting go-to-market planning and launch coordination for client-facing AI features
- Managing the product development process for the cross-functional AI Platform team, including agile processes, backlogs, and translating business goals into actionable user stories
- Leveraging data analysis, user feedback, market trends, and AI system performance insights to evolve the platform vision
The role offers the opportunity to shape how a major European fintech integrates AI across its investment platform, wealth management services, and banking offerings, impacting over one million clients.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager working on backend services, APIs, or AI-powered products, ideally serving multiple internal client teams
- High-level understanding of modern AI concepts: LLMs, prompt design, agent architectures, and evaluation approaches
- Ability to understand technical concepts and work effectively with engineering and Data Science teams; technical degree is a strong plus
- Good understanding of how AI-powered services are built and evaluated; experience collaborating with Data Scientists and AI/ML Engineers
- Demonstrated understanding of AI regulatory landscape, compliance requirements, and data governance principles (e.g., experience with DPO/Legal teams)
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking; ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative data for complex platform decisions
- Hands-on approach with ownership from ideation through compliance review to scalable launch
- Excellent English communication skills; ability to convey complex topics to engineers, executives, and legal counsel (German is a plus)
