Lumos is an Autonomous Identity Platform that surfaces and acts on access risk. The company has grown from stealth (April 2022) to ~130 employees, raised $65M+ from a16z, Scale, Neo, and other top investors, and serves customers including GitHub, MongoDB, Mars, Pinterest, Anduril, Intercom, Roku, and Netskope.
As Product Manager for Access Reviews, you will own the next evolution of Lumos's most widely adopted product—moving access reviews from manual, cyclical processes to largely autonomous workflows. Access Reviews is the surface where compliance and IT teams prove to auditors that the right people have the right access. Today it's used by compliance officers, IT teams, and managers; your job is to make it work with minimal human intervention.
You will own strategy, quarterly planning, product craft, and outcomes. This is a customer-facing role with real business impact. You report to the Head of Product and work closely with engineering, design, and customer-facing teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the agentic core of the product: agents that configure, scope, launch, and run reviews via API and MCP, and event-triggered reviews rather than calendar-based ones. This is the primary focus.
- Build trust in AI decisioning: auto-decide where answers are unambiguous, provide clear reasoning where they aren't, and create a review experience people advocate for rather than tolerate.
- Expand review scope beyond applications to identity-centric reviews, policy reviews, and reviews of non-human identities and AI agents—a governance problem the industry has not yet solved.
- Own roadmap and quarterly planning for a critical product surface, making trade-offs between new review coverage, agentic depth, and real-world customer workflows.
- Ensure compliance credibility: ship defensible, audit-ready evidence that holds up in real audits, not just in theory.
- Partner directly with customers, prospects, and field teams to turn insights into product decisions.
Requirements:
- Product management experience owning a customer-facing product with real business impact (not internal platforms).
- Experience with compliance, audit, governance, or risk workflows, or adjacent high-volume human-decision products (fraud/risk review, case management, approvals).
- Shipped AI into production workflows where trust determined adoption; you understand explainability, confidence, and failure modes, and can reason about whether a recommendation is good enough to act on.
- Work AI-natively yourself: use AI daily in your own craft (research synthesis, prototyping, specs, data interrogation) and have real opinions on where it earns its place.
- Track record of changing user behavior, not just shipping features; you can point to a metric that moved because of a decision you made.
- Strong product craft and design partnership; comfortable in the details of tables, queues, and decision flows.
- Comfortable presenting to customers and auditors.
