As Product Manager for IaC Detection at Datadog, you will define, build, and launch capabilities that proactively detect infrastructure issues in code (e.g., Terraform, Helm) before deployment to production. The Infrastructure Monitoring team has pioneered shift-left detection in the industry, and you will expand this capability to a broader set of use cases.
Customers and developers increasingly standardize on Infrastructure-as-Code tools to deploy and maintain growing cloud infrastructure. Simultaneously, SREs and infrastructure teams struggle with rising production incidents. By shifting-left and identifying high-impact infrastructure changes before deployment, you help reduce production incidents, reduce waste, and free up SRE time for value-added work.
You will own the roadmap to expand IaC detection to broader use cases, including cost detection, blast radius impact, and configuration changes on infrastructure powering applications like nginx and postgres. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Design, and customers to build and iterate on the roadmap, establish product-market fit, drive customer adoption (including internal usage), and focus on coverage and correctness of the AI system. This is an opportunity to lead an initiative at the intersection of AI, infrastructure operations, and autonomous observability.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the product roadmap for IaC Detection, enabling customers to proactively detect and catch high-impact infrastructure and configuration changes before deployment into production.
- Define the end-to-end experience across the Datadog UI and developer workflows (e.g., GitHub). Partner with Design and Engineering to create user-facing experiences.
- Work with customers, including Datadog, to drive adoption and iterate the product.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with infrastructure monitoring, AI product teams, and other Datadog teams to integrate IaC detection capabilities across the platform.
- Establish quality standards and success metrics, including coverage, correctness, and user trust.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of Product Management experience shipping technical products in cloud infrastructure or SaaS environments, ideally for developer or operator audiences.
- Passion for building with AI and excitement about its potential to change infrastructure monitoring and management.
- Technical background and/or understanding of the day-in-the-life of engineers/developers shipping, maintaining, or securing distributed cloud applications.
- Ability to drive product-led growth for a new 0-1 initiative targeting developers by identifying design partners, fast iteration, and building product-market fit.
- Clear and concise communicator who can lead cross-functional initiatives and align stakeholders around a shared vision.
