Maze is a Series B user research platform (backed by Felicis, Emergence, Amplify) used by 100,000+ brands across 4,000 companies to make user insights available at the speed of product development. The platform enables researchers, designers, and product managers to quickly recruit participants, run studies autonomously, and surface insights that drive product decisions, with AI capabilities automating busywork and adding depth to insights.
You will own the recruitment and panel experience at Maze as a Product Lead, setting the product vision for how customers recruit and manage participants across unmoderated, moderated, AI-moderated, and future research experiences. This is a highly cross-functional product area sitting at the intersection of product, operations, and the panel partner ecosystem. You'll work in a trio with Engineering and Design while partnering closely with Panel Operations, GTM, Customer Success, Research Partners, and other product teams.
Key responsibilities include: setting product vision and roadmap for recruitment and participant management; improving participant quality through feedback loops, quality signals, and filtering; making it easier for customers to recruit audiences across different study types, including complex enterprise use cases; understanding panel performance and identifying gaps in supply, quality, and fulfillment; partnering with Panel Operations to improve tools and workflows; evaluating and onboarding new panel partners; developing smarter routing of studies to participant supply; staying close to operational fulfillment; partnering with Sales, Customer Success, and Research Partners on customer needs and recruitment feasibility; and defining success metrics across quality, fulfillment, and user experience.
You should have experience as a Product Lead or equivalent owning complex product areas from strategy through execution. You're comfortable working on products spanning software, operations, and external partners; turning messy cross-functional problems into clear vision and actionable roadmaps; getting close to operational workflows; bringing strong product judgment and clear recommendations even with imperfect information; partnering closely with Engineering and Design while engaging stakeholders across the business; thinking in systems for scalable solutions; and balancing customer experience, business needs, operational realities, and technical constraints. You thrive moving quickly, making decisions with incomplete information, and continuously learning from customers and internal teams.
Bonus experience includes: user research or research participant recruitment; products with meaningful operational components; marketplace or supply-and-demand product experience; working with external partners, vendors, or integrations critical to customer experience; and building products for enterprise customers with complex requirements.
Maze is an early-stage startup with fewer than 150 team members, offering direct impact on success and opportunity to shape the company's future. The company operates a global remote workforce driven by core values of transparency, equity, and inclusion. Maze was recently named the #1 user research platform in UX Tools' Design Tools Survey and serves world-class customers including Uber, Amazon, Atlassian, and Anthropic.
