Salary: USD 212,700 - 287,700 / annual
Twitch is the world's largest live streaming platform, with global communities built around gaming, entertainment, music, sports, cooking, and more. As a Product Engineering Manager focused on growing creators' revenue, you will lead a team of engineers to design, build, and operate full-stack applications that enable creators to earn a living doing what they love. You will work across the stack and across functions, taking high ownership of desired outcomes and working backwards to the simplest solution. Your teams own features like Subscriptions, Gifting, Turbo, Bits, and Hype Train.
You will lead a team of engineers to design, build, and operate full-stack consumer-facing applications. You'll establish a clear vision for your team and generate urgency to deliver for customers. You have a laser focus on delivering results, even if that means disrupting process or protocol. You articulate behaviors that grow careers and keep your people development radar always on. You quickly dissect trade-offs, make conscious choices, and overcome challenges. You constructively parse, ingest, challenge, and reframe proposals for the better. You adjust gracefully to change while maintaining team energy and focus.
The role is based in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA. You will be empowered to work across the stack and across functions, with internal motivation to deliver customer impact and the ability to articulate that impact to stakeholders and permeate that culture to your team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Track record of leading teams to design, implement, and operate consumer-facing full-stack applications (emphasized as important)
- 8+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years of people management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; clarity of thought and articulation are critical
- Experience with web services, cloud infrastructure, and system design
- Ability to attract, hire, and retain engineering talent
- Comfortable operating within ambiguous and ever-changing environments
- Impact-oriented and product engineering leader mindset
BONUS:
- Hands-on experience building applications using Golang, AWS Cloud Infrastructure, and/or React
- Experience building Machine Learning or AI applications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
