CEEZER is building enterprise-grade infrastructure for Climate Performance Asset management, helping the world's largest companies source and manage carbon credits, Energy Attribution Certificates (EAC), and Sustainable Aviation Fuel certificates (SAFc). You will serve as Product Engineering Lead, owning the architecture and scalability of CEEZER's B2B procurement platform. Your responsibilities include:
- Own the architecture and scalability of the B2B procurement platform, connecting every technical decision to customer value, revenue impact, and business strategy.
- Drive end-to-end technical strategy, design, and architecture, translating product requirements into performant and scalable features.
- Challenge assumptions with product, design, and commercial teams to evaluate trade-offs and engineer optimal, user-centric solutions.
- Shape the technical strategy and architecture of the platform, making pragmatic calls on scalability, security, and reliability that balance speed, quality, and long-term cost.
- Set clear goals for yourself and your team, define priorities, measure what matters, and hold the team accountable.
- Cultivate engineering excellence across the team through high-impact mentorship, technical guidance, and rigorous code reviews.
- Lead by example with hands-on technical execution, authoring high-quality, maintainable code in TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js.
You will work alongside international teams combining finance, tech, and climate science professionals. REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading and managing engineers (hiring, developing people, running teams through complex product deliveries).
- Strong product and business mindset, understanding how past work affected customers, revenue, or company goals.
- Deep technical proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js ecosystem, with hands-on experience building data-dense interfaces in React or Next.js.
- Solid experience in API design, backend architecture, and relational data modelling (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Cloud-native infrastructure experience on platforms like AWS.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to translate between technical and business audiences and align stakeholders.
- Basic familiarity with Python is a plus, or strong technical curiosity to expand into auxiliary parts of the data processing stack.
