Revivn is a profitable, rapidly growing company that helps enterprises manage technology end-of-life through a repurposing platform. Rather than recycling, Revivn refurbishes hardware for people lacking dedicated computer access, working with major clients like Instacart, Lyft, Qualtrics, X, Gensler, and Spotify.
You'll be the embedded technical presence for the customer-facing platform, based in the Brooklyn Navy Yard office with remote Wednesdays. This is a full-stack role combining product discovery with hands-on engineering—you'll own features end-to-end, from stakeholder conversations through shipped code.
Key responsibilities include:
Discovery & Product Ownership: Work directly with customer-facing teams to understand pain points, gather requirements, and identify priorities. Translate learnings into problem framing, PRDs, and lightweight documentation. Own feature and workflow improvements on the customer platform end-to-end.
Engineering & Delivery: Build and ship features on a Ruby on Rails and React stack. Leverage AI-native engineering workflows (agentic coding tools, AI-assisted review) to accelerate delivery. Maintain clear documentation for team handoffs.
Support Engineering: Handle customer-facing support fixes (P2/P3) as part of regular workload, escalating P0/P1 issues to the broader engineering team.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the product team on roadmap overlap and technical sequencing. Bring prioritization tradeoffs to the Director of Engineering with clear framing and recommendations. Advocate for modern, AI-enabled engineering practices.
Required qualifications: Full-stack production experience with Ruby on Rails and React. Demonstrated fluency with AI-assisted engineering workflows (with real examples, not philosophy). Comfort owning problems end-to-end from stakeholder conversation to shipped code. Ability to context-switch between proactive feature work and reactive support without losing momentum. Clear written communication for PRDs and specs. Independent work capability while staying coordinated with distributed teammates.
Ideal candidate uses AI tooling to genuinely move faster, takes full ownership of problems, balances planned work against unplanned issues, communicates clearly in writing, and is energized by being embedded with the team they build for.
