Salary: USD 180,000 - 250,000 / annual
Translucent is building an agentic AI platform designed exclusively for healthcare finance. Healthcare providers operate on razor-thin 2–5% margins while managing $2.5 trillion in annual medical expenditures, yet their finance teams spend most of their time finding and cleaning data rather than making strategic decisions. Translucent's AI agents run 24/7, understand healthcare-specific data, business logic, and workflows, and are already deployed by organizations managing over $5 billion in combined revenue.
As a Product Engineer, you'll build the interfaces that bring Translucent's AI financial analyst to life. You'll work closely with Product, Design, and AI Engineering teams to craft intuitive experiences that transform complex healthcare financial data into clear, actionable insights.
Key responsibilities include: building responsive, accessible interfaces for healthcare financial data; partnering with Product and Design to translate user needs into well-crafted experiences; contributing to the component library and design system; building features and integrations that make sophisticated financial insights accessible to healthcare operators; collaborating with AI Engineers to integrate LLM workflows; owning system reliability and performance monitoring; and participating in architectural decisions as the company scales to serve enterprise healthcare customers.
You'll bring strong software engineering fundamentals, proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred), working knowledge of Python, and experience with APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure. You have deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and inclusive design practices. Beyond technical skills, you think beyond the ticket to consider how real users will experience what you build, you're genuinely driven to understand healthcare operators' workflows and pain points, and you have an owner mentality—taking end-to-end ownership of features from conception to customer impact. You balance shipping quickly to learn from customers against investing in longer-term technical foundations.
Nice-to-have skills include strong UI/UX instincts, experience with data visualization libraries (D3, Chart.js), experience building AI-powered interfaces or chat-based applications with real-time streaming, and background in healthcare technology or financial systems.
