Porters is an AI-native fintech platform automating regulated banking processes that banks currently handle manually. Founded just over a year ago, the company is already live with real customers and was named Fintech of the Year 2026. Backed by Earlybird and Seedcamp, Porters is building the operating system for autonomous banking.
As a Product Engineer, you will own features end-to-end across the full stack. You'll work on vertical slices from API layer through data models to production deployment. Your responsibilities include shipping complete features, extending the agentic platform's capabilities (case handling, customer matching, AI tool integrations, data enrichment, human-in-the-loop workflows), designing clean interfaces and contracts, and ensuring reliability through comprehensive testing and observability.
You'll solve real customer problems in a regulated fintech environment where precision matters. The role requires shipping in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with strong product thinking—understanding not just how to build, but why you're building it.
The tech stack centers on Python 3.14, FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy 2.0 in a strict four-layer architecture. You'll work with AWS services (Bedrock for AI orchestration, Lambda, ECS Fargate, Aurora MySQL), containerized workers, event-driven processing, and a multi-tenant infrastructure with strict per-tenant isolation. Frontend is React. Development uses uv, Ruff, pytest, Docker, GitHub Actions, and agentic IDEs.
You'll collaborate directly with founders who have built and scaled fintech products before. The culture emphasizes high performance, team support, and growth—with a dedicated development budget and regular team events. This is a high-growth phase where intensity and focus are expected.
