Baseten powers mission-critical inference for leading AI companies including Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. The company recently raised $1.5B in Series F funding and is building the platform engineers rely on to ship AI products.
As the first Product Enablement Lead, you will own the translation of Baseten's product launches and technical innovations into field-ready execution. You'll sit at the intersection of Product, Marketing, and Sales GTM, ensuring that major launches (like new model support, performance improvements, or ecosystem shifts) land effectively with the sales and solutions teams.
You will be a hands-on individual contributor responsible for:
- Launch readiness: partner with Product and Marketing on positioning, write internal launch communications, and run readiness sessions so Account Executives and Solutions Architects can sell new products on day one.
- Technical enablement: build training that makes the field credible on inference, GPUs, latency, and deployment architecture. Raise the baseline for AEs and provide depth for SAs.
- Customer-facing collateral: produce decks, battlecards, and technical demos that hold up in conversations with engineers.
- Repeatable systems: design enablement workflows and rhythms that scale with the product roadmap, not one-off deliverables.
- Product feedback loop: own the system for capturing customer and field feedback, identifying what resonates, and feeding insights back to Product and Marketing to shape positioning, packaging, and roadmap priorities.
- Measurement: define and report on enablement effectiveness (ramp time, new product adoption in deals, win rates on launches).
This role requires someone who can build systems, run programs, train reps directly, and develop curriculum for managers, sellers, and new hires. You'll need to operate comfortably in ambiguity as the first hire in this function and partner across the business to ensure alignment and execution speed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in product enablement, GTM enablement, field enablement, or product marketing at an infrastructure, developer tools, or AI-native company.
- Experience enabling an internal sales field (Account Executives, Solutions Architects), not customer onboarding.
- Technical depth: CS or engineering background, prior SE/SA experience, or a proven track record of building demos and technical content. Ability to hold your own in conversations about model serving.
- Hands-on track record: you have personally written collateral, run sessions, and can point to programs, talks, docs, or certifications you've built.
- Systems mindset: you think in repeatable workflows and are comfortable defining and measuring success.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity as a first-function hire.
- Active use of AI tools to drive your own productivity in drafting content, translating technical detail, and accelerating work.
- Based in SF Bay Area or willing to relocate.
