Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Product Development Process Engineer to join the Product Development Process (PDP) team in Costa Mesa, California. This role supports hardware product development by architecting robust and adaptable processes for Anduril's growing hardware product portfolio. You will work cross-functionally with design, product development, tools development, and training teams to develop and maintain process strategies for design and development workflows. Key responsibilities include: Process Requirements Management: Collaborate with Design, Program, and Cross-Functional leads to align on best practices and standards. Develop and maintain PDP tools (GitHub, Party Bus, Claude Collaboration). Gather requirements and architect how processes are used across impacted teams. Work with tool development to create user interface solutions for large user bases across various products. Define clear process requirements and expectations for design and product development teams. Own the central standards repository including engineering design standards, analysis standards, and product maturity frameworks. Partner with Engineering leadership on design practices, test practices, and entry/exit criteria for qualification, build testing, and design review gates. Process Development and Rollout: Draft process workflows, user guides, and formal specifications/standard operating procedures. Collect feedback and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Lead and coordinate the release and department rollout of new processes. Training, Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Support development of training guides, modules, and videos. Coordinate release kickoff meetings and training workshops. Monitor adoption with key stakeholders and leadership. Develop feedback loops and communications strategies. Required: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field. 8+ years as a Design Engineer, Development Engineer, Process Development Engineer, Product Manager, or similar role. Mechanical or Electrical design/development experience bringing new products to market. Experience with advanced hardware systems, IT tools (CAD, PLM), defense industry standards and compliance, and cross-functional team collaboration. Must be a US Person. Preferred: M.S. in technical engineering field. Ability to obtain and hold U.S. Secret Clearance. Experience designing/architecting custom design and development tools. Training and documentation creation experience. Project management experience or certification.
