Qonto is Europe's leading finance workspace for SMEs, combining banking with financial tools. Founded in 2017, the company now serves over 750,000 customers across 8 European countries and has been profitable since 2023. With 1,700 employees across 80+ nationalities, Qonto emphasizes diversity, merit-based hiring, and AI-first workflows.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will design Qonto's credit and investment experience as the company grows into a full bank. You'll report to Christina, the Product Design Manager, and work closely with product and engineering teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Design 0-to-1 credit and investment features, transforming traditionally complex processes into intuitive experiences for business owners
- Lead market and user research as an equal partner to your PM, exploring multiple solution directions before converging; you'll conduct customer interviews directly
- Treat regulation, backend constraints, and partner limitations as design inputs; work directly with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to challenge constraints when trade-offs justify it
- Own work end-to-end from initial sketches through specs, delivery, QA, and post-launch iteration; contribute to the design system
- Shape solutions with the tech team from day one, building new features from the ground up
- Ensure consistent user experience across internal teams so customers experience seamless interactions
You'll have autonomy in decision-making, access to AI-first tooling for research and prototyping, and mentorship from a Staff designer. You'll be part of a design community of 90+ designers with clear growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven senior product design experience with shipped end-to-end work; portfolio must demonstrate rationale, outcomes, and polished craft
- Strong product thinking: frame problems before design, weigh multiple solutions, explain trade-offs, and tie decisions to business impact
- Experience turning complex, regulated processes into user-friendly experiences (B2C quality in regulated environments)
- Solution-oriented ownership: bring solutions alongside problems, stay comfortable with unclear paths, unblock yourself rather than waiting for direction
- Stakeholder fluency: work effectively with PMs, engineers, Legal, Risk, and partners; explain design rationale, accept feedback well, flag blockers early; demonstrate ability to land decisions through disagreement
- AI-native workflow: already use AI tools for research, exploration, and prototyping; validate AI outputs and know when human judgment is essential
- Balance pace with rigor: move fast without cutting corners, prioritize effectively, flag trade-offs early, maintain quality in regulated environments
- Portfolio submission required: include 2–3 shipped projects in English showing problem, your role, decisions, and outcomes
