Carrot Fertility is the leading global fertility and family care platform, trusted by over 1,000 multinational employers, health plans, and health systems to support millions of members across 195 countries. The company delivers intelligent care orchestration—the right clinical guidance at the right moment in each member's life—from pre-pregnancy through menopause.
You will serve as the Product Design Lead for mobile, owning the end-to-end design experience for Carrot's member-facing app. Reporting to the Director of Product, you will be the design lead for the mobile team and will collaborate with other product designers across the platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own mobile design from concept through high-fidelity execution on iOS and Android
- Design information architecture and navigation that unify distinct parts of the member experience into one seamless product
- Drive adoption and retention by creating experiences that earn member engagement daily, weekly, and monthly
- Simplify complex, dynamic, nuanced health information so members can trust it at a glance
- Partner closely with the Content Designer to ensure visual and written communication work as one experience
- Ground design decisions in qualitative and quantitative research
- Grow the design system with accessibility, consistency, and scalability in mind
You will work on mobile-first experiences including Sprints, Carrot's program for members managing metabolic health alongside fertility, pregnancy, and menopause care. Success in the first 12–18 months means shipping design work that measurably moves member adoption and engagement, conducting user research and testing, and contributing to the design system.
The role matters because fertility, pregnancy, and menopause care unfold over years, not appointments. Much of what shapes outcomes happens between clinical visits. Engagement is not a vanity metric—it's how the product delivers health outcomes for members.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years in product/UX design with a portfolio demonstrating mobile-first work and end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-step journeys
- Experience building and working on consumer apps focused on daily and weekly active usage
- Track record designing for engagement and retention (habit formation, behavior change, wellness, or similar)
- AI as a core part of your design practice, plus experience designing AI-powered product experiences
- Systems thinking to create clean, simple experiences
- Strong visual and interaction craft, hands-on prototyping, and fluency with building products people love
- Experience leading user research or usability testing
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with behavior change frameworks or gamification
- Experience helping teammates develop as designers
- Empathy and sensitivity to healthcare journey challenges
