As Product Counsel, you will be an early, versatile member of the founding legal team, counseling across a broad range of functions as the business scales. This is a generalist role with significant breadth, supporting security, compliance, go-to-market initiatives, and customer-facing legal matters. You will help lay the foundation for a larger product counseling function over time, reporting initially to the General Counsel.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising and supporting the security team on legal matters
- Handling customer notifications and customer-facing legal communications
- Supporting compliance efforts across the organization
- Providing generalist counsel to Product, Security, Privacy, and other teams as needs arise
- Building foundational processes, templates, and infrastructure for a scaling product counseling function

REQUIREMENTS:
- 9+ years of relevant in-house or law firm experience
- JD and membership in at least one US state bar
- Breadth across privacy, security, compliance, and product counseling
- Comfort operating as a generalist and flexing across diverse legal matters
- Prior experience in hyperscaling, fast-moving environments
- Builder's mindset suited to early-stage, foundational roles
- Strong independent judgment and ability to work in ambiguity
- AI-forward perspective with demonstrated ability to use AI tools to streamline workflows and accelerate efficiency
