You will join the Joint Current Account team as a Product Analyst, supporting the launch of a new product central to the bank's growth strategy. Operating like a startup within the wider organization, the team is building a simple, feature-rich everyday account designed to delight customers.
In this role, you will develop deep understanding of customer behavior and needs, translating that into actionable insights that guide product development. You'll own customer outcomes and drive decisions in a fast-paced environment where directional insights often matter more than perfect precision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and fellow Analysts to deliver daily insights that inform product decisions
- Designing and evaluating statistically rigorous experiments (A/B tests, causal analyses) to support rapid iteration and test hypotheses
- Defining key metrics that serve as sources of truth for product performance, user experience quality, and progress on key results
- Owning your analytics roadmap, proactively identifying high-impact analysis opportunities and prioritizing work accordingly
- Building with AI-enabled analytics tools to generate natural language insights and develop powerful internal data applications
- Communicating complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, challenging assumptions respectfully when appropriate
The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week in the London office, with flexibility to work abroad up to 120 days annually (subject to work authorization).
Requirements:
- Strong experience in an analytical role with demonstrated data manipulation skills in SQL and/or Python
- Comfort working with large datasets and extracting insights that drive business decisions
- Experience working in fast-paced environments (fintech, startups, consulting preferred)
- Ability to prioritize for impact and balance precision with effort based on context
- Comfort with unstructured, open-ended problems; ability to isolate signal from noise
- Clear communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Self-starter mentality with bias to action; proactive problem identification
Nice to have:
- Experience conducting A/B tests and causal analyses with statistical rigor
- Expertise in data visualization and self-serve analytics products
- Cross-functional collaboration experience across product, design, and engineering
- Track record defining and tracking product metrics (conversion, activation, retention, engagement)
- Background with consumer-facing fintech or digital products
