Salary: EUR 69,100 - 95,000 / annual
Mendix, a Siemens Software company, is seeking a Product Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making across the Mendix Platform organization. The Mendix Platform uses visual modeling to abstract coding from application development, enabling enterprise customers to create and deploy software faster through collaboration between business users and developers.
You will be at the forefront of transforming raw platform signals into actionable product insights that empower Product Managers and the R&D organization. The role is based in Rotterdam with a distributed team also in Munich, Germany, working on modern technologies crucial to developing an Agentic Enterprise Platform, particularly the Mendix Platform Agents Kit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define strategy for quantitative insights and deliver deep-dive analyses for product management
- Create and maintain dashboards to monitor product and platform health and success metrics
- Partner with product teams to define KPIs and standardized metrics
- Identify signals, events, and data points required for analysis, ensuring data reusability
- Support teams during event implementation with data correctness validation and exploratory analysis
- Build initial queries and transformations, collaborating with Analytics Data Engineers to productionize data models
- Brainstorm new feature ideas with designers, developers, and leadership
- Build high-impact management dashboards in Power BI
- Retrieve and redefine complex datasets using SQL, Python, or R
- Design and conduct in-depth research on large datasets
- Apply statistical techniques to validate result significance and communicate findings to executives
- Drive data literacy culture across the analyst community
You will translate complex technical research into actionable insights for non-technical executives, gather requirements effectively, and challenge stakeholders to uncover underlying business needs. The role requires comfort navigating different business domains and technical platform features.
Requirements:
- Expert-level Power BI experience: designing and deploying production-grade reports with DAX and governed distribution
- Expert SQL skills: building efficient queries for large datasets and validating data integrity
- Data modeling expertise: designing efficient models and defining data capture requirements for data lakes
- Python experience: creating reliable, reproducible scripts for data processing and advanced analytics
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and ability to apply them to real-world business problems
- Comfortable with Git version control (PRs, code reviews) and documenting work for reusability
- Strong ability to translate complex technical research into appealing insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Quick learner capable of navigating different business domains and technical platform features
Bonus Qualifications:
- Understanding of Agentic AI concepts (LangChain, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex)
- Experience with AI/ML (building, training, and monitoring models)
- Technical knowledge of AWS Services (Athena, Glue), Linux/CLI, Docker, or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Low-Code development (specifically Mendix) and Product-Led Growth (PLG)
