Sardine is seeking its first in-house Procurement Manager to lead vendor management and purchasing across the organization. This role owns the complete vendor lifecycle—from sourcing and negotiation through contract management and renewal tracking—supporting software/IT, marketing, events, travel, professional services, and other departments.
You will be the central point of contact for all procurement activities, managing relationships with vendors while balancing business needs, commercial terms, vendor risk, and long-term partnership health. Key responsibilities include negotiating favorable pricing and payment terms, consolidating redundant tools, reclaiming unused licenses, coordinating security and data-privacy reviews (SOC 2, DPAs) with Legal and Security teams, and building procurement processes from the ground up including intake workflows, PO systems, contract tracking, and spend visibility.
You'll work closely with finance, IT, legal, and business leaders in a fast-paced environment. Success requires strong judgment, relationship management, and the ability to guide stakeholders through sourcing decisions while keeping purchasing disciplined without slowing teams down.
Required qualifications: 5+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or commercial negotiations, ideally in-house at a high-growth technology or software company. Proven track record independently owning vendor negotiations and contract management across multiple functions and spend categories. Experience evaluating vendors competitively, building procurement processes from scratch, and coordinating vendor security/privacy reviews. Excellent executive-level communication and relationship-management skills. Comfort influencing stakeholders and pushing back when needed to maintain purchasing discipline.
