HealthVerity is seeking a hands-on Procurement Manager to drive efficient, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services. This is an execution-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in the details and wants direct involvement in sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management rather than purely strategic oversight.
You will personally manage end-to-end procurement processes for key categories, from RFP development through contract execution. You'll directly negotiate pricing, terms, and service levels with vendors—not delegating high-value negotiations. Day-to-day responsibilities include owning vendor relationships, troubleshooting issues as they arise, processing purchase orders and requisitions during high-volume periods, and monitoring vendor performance and compliance.
You'll partner closely with Finance, Legal, IT, and department stakeholders to resolve procurement questions and unblock purchases quickly. This role requires flexibility and a bias toward action, with willingness to jump into ad hoc projects and problem-solving as priorities shift. You'll build spend analyses independently and use analytical skills to drive cost optimization.
The company operates on a hybrid model with in-office work required three days a week for Philadelphia-based employees. HealthVerity is the leader in privacy-protected real-world data exchange, transforming how healthcare and life sciences organizations connect and analyze disparate patient data. The role offers competitive benefits including health/dental/vision coverage from day 1, 401(k), equity program (Director level and above), generous PTO (targeted 4 weeks annually), paid parental leave, and professional development support.
**REQUIREMENTS**
Required:
- 5+ years of procurement experience with demonstrated preference for hands-on, execution-focused work over purely strategic/oversight roles
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of personally closing favorable vendor deals
- Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to do whatever it takes—from high-level strategy to manual PO entry—depending on business needs
- Experience with procurement/ERP systems (e.g., Olive, Tropic, NetSuite)
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable building your own spend analyses rather than relying solely on others
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with stakeholders across departments
