Nooks is an applied AI lab building the Agent Workspace for GTM, with AI agents that operate across the full sales action set. The company has raised $70M+ from top VCs including Kleiner Perkins, serves over 1,500 customers (including Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, and Rippling), and has tripled ARR each year for three consecutive years.
You will be Nooks' first full-time procurement hire, reporting to the VP Finance. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role with clear process optimization and savings mandates, giving you real influence over the vendor stack and company-wide spend portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the end-to-end procurement process: intake and request flow, stakeholder management, approval thresholds, vendor onboarding, and coordination with Legal, IT, Compliance, and Finance teams
- Leading vendor management and owning the renewal calendar; surfacing renewals early, assessing usage and alternatives, and identifying opportunities for redundancy elimination, cost reduction, and optimization
- Partnering with budget owners to negotiate new and renewing contracts across SaaS, AI, infrastructure, and data products; benchmarking pricing, structuring multi-year and usage-based terms, and creating forecasts
- Designing a clean, visible, understandable procurement process that streamlines reviews and removes bottlenecks; defining when to involve Legal, Compliance, IT, Finance, and Executive teams
- Building spend visibility and maintaining vendor expense forecasts; working with Finance and Accounting to categorize spend, track realized savings, and report to leadership and budget owners
- Evaluating and implementing procurement tools, including AI-powered solutions to support Nooks' needs
- Serving as the primary knowledge base on vendor relationships, usage, performance, and ROI
Requirements:
- 4-7+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management with direct ownership in a high-growth tech or SaaS environment
- Strong track record leading complex commercial negotiations across SaaS and services contracts
- Ability to build processes, not just run them; experience building and optimizing procurement policies, processes, and tools, including automation
- Experience reading and interpreting commercial contracts and order forms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence budget owners and department leaders without direct authority
- Experience working with AI tools in a Finance or Operations function
- Familiarity with procurement and spend management platforms
- Strong analytical skills; expert-level proficiency in Excel, model-building, and forecasting
- Ability to operate independently in a remote environment
