Podium Automation is reimagining industrial control panel manufacturing through software-enabled design and automated fabrication. The company has raised over $23M from top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Construct Capital, and is building technology to reduce lead times for critical electrical equipment from months to days.
As a Procurement Analyst, you'll be central to delivering on Podium's core promise: 3–4 week lead times for control panels. This means sourcing every component within a 1–2 week window, requiring speed, precision, and proactive risk management.
Day-to-day responsibilities include issuing and managing purchase orders for active projects within budget and lead-time constraints; tracking bill-of-materials lines from PO to receipt across builds; flagging delays and expediting at-risk items before production stalls; monitoring component demand across the project pipeline to surface long-lead items early; qualifying new suppliers and maintaining vendor relationships; keeping procurement data clean in Odoo; tracking on-time delivery and cost variance metrics; flagging component alternates and end-of-life notices to engineering; and supporting the buildout of procurement processes and supplier scorecards as the company scales.
You'll work day-to-day in Odoo (the ERP system) and alongside Podium's AI supply chain platform. You'll partner closely with electrical engineering, operations, and finance to keep projects accurately tracked and costed. This is an opportunity to get hands-on exposure to how a growing hardware company builds its procurement function from scratch.
The ideal candidate has 0–2 years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain (ideally in hardware, manufacturing, or electrical/industrial environments); is comfortable working in ERP/MRP systems daily with solid Excel and data skills; has strong organizational skills to track many open orders without dropping details; and is a clear communicator comfortable following up with suppliers directly. Nice-to-haves include exposure to electrical or electromechanical components (PLCs, VFDs, enclosures, wire and cable), Odoo experience, and interest in growing into a larger supply chain ownership role as the company scales.
The role is on-site 5 days per week at Podium's Brooklyn, NY headquarters.
