Salary: CAD 105,000 - 120,000 / annual
Jetson is a vertically integrated home electrification company on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100 million North American homes away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy. The company combines technology, automation, and data to make clean energy simple, transparent, and affordable.
You will own Jetson's procure-to-pay cycle end to end, from purchase order through receipt, invoice, approval, and payment. You lead a small team and are responsible for maintaining tight P2P controls as the company scales across new markets, vendors, and volume. You are the trusted partner the CFO and Controller rely on for accurate AP balances and confident payment runs.
Key responsibilities include:
**Run the Cycle**
- Own the three-way match (PO, item receipt, vendor invoice) and resolve exceptions within 24 hours
- Prepare weekly AP aging and payment proposals for CFO approval; execute approved batches through Tipalti and the bank
- Manage vendor prepayments, credits, and off-cycle payments
- Oversee daily cash position across CAD and USD accounts and manage funding transfers between RBC, SVB, Float, and Tipalti
**Close the Month**
- Deliver P2P close tasks: accrued purchases (GRNI) clearing, operating expense and uninvoiced AP accruals, prepaid amortization, FX revaluation, fixed asset entries, and intercompany payables
- Own reconciliations for AP, accrued purchases, Tipalti, Float clearing accounts, and bank accounts with clean audit support
- Agree intercompany payables and funding between Canadian and US entities
**Strengthen Controls and Systems**
- Set and document approval thresholds, match tolerances, payment cut-offs, and escalation paths aligned to delegation of authority
- Build compensating controls for segregation of duties (payment release, vendor master changes, direct-entry bills)
- Own vendor master, supplier codes, and vendor bank-detail change control
- Partner with Business Systems on Tipalti, Float, and NetSuite integrations
- Maintain SOPs and support external audit
**Lead the Team**
- Hire, coach, and set priorities for AP Specialist, P2P Accountants, and co-op students
- Build cross-training and named backups to eliminate single points of failure
You will support both Jetson Home Inc. (Canada) and Jetson Home Corporation (US) entities.
**Requirements:**
- CPA designation preferred
- 6+ years in accounting, including 3+ years running AP or procure-to-pay
- 2+ years leading people
- Hands-on NetSuite experience; Tipalti, Float, or similar AP automation and credit card tools are a strong plus
- Solid grasp of accruals, GRNI, prepayments, multi-currency (CAD/USD), and intercompany accounting under US GAAP
- Controls mindset with ability to design practical controls for small teams
- Comfort with Canadian GST/PST and US sales tax on vendor invoices
- Experience in high-growth, multi-entity, field-services, construction, or inventory-heavy business is an asset
- Able to work primarily in office at North Vancouver location
