Re:Build Manufacturing, through its Optimation division, is seeking a Process & Mechanical Engineering Team Lead to manage and lead a team of process and mechanical engineers, designers, and drafters. Reporting to the Director of Process & Mechanical Engineering & Design, you will own day-to-day team leadership, workload allocation, performance management, hiring, and professional development. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management.
Key responsibilities include:
**Team Leadership & Management:** Provide day-to-day oversight of the process and mechanical engineering team. Manage workload allocation to optimize resource utilization and meet project deadlines. Lead all talent management functions including performance reviews, coaching, professional development, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and development-focused culture.
**Technical & Engineering Leadership:** Provide hands-on engineering support and technical guidance to team members. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across all process and mechanical design work. Lead and participate in design reviews to uphold engineering standards. Drive continuous improvement of design tools, standards, and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce rework.
**Project Execution & Support:** Collaborate with project managers and design leads to support successful project delivery. Directly support project execution when workload exceeds capacity. Lead estimating efforts for process and mechanical engineering scopes, including scope definition and resource planning. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
