As Senior Process Engineer, you will bridge R&D and operations, leading the development and scale-up of laboratory processes to pilot and production scales. Your focus will be on improving metal recovery while reducing costs and environmental impact.
Key responsibilities include: leading process development and scale-up initiatives; identifying and mitigating process risks; evaluating process capability and improving process control; conducting detailed process simulations and modeling to predict behavior under various scenarios; developing production guidelines, SOPs, and quality standards; troubleshooting production issues; providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and scientists; guiding R&D teams in experiment design and execution; driving chemical process design from concept through scaled production; and developing cost estimates based on lab-scale processes.
You will need a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related discipline, plus 3-5 years of hands-on experience in chemical process and/or development engineering. Required expertise includes process scaling from R&D to operating environments, process modeling and control, bench-top through manufacturing-scale batch execution, software proficiency for process analysis, and strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills. Leadership and cross-functional collaboration capabilities are essential.
