Medici Brands, parent company of David protein snacks and Epogee, is seeking a Process Engineer to drive manufacturing optimization and commercialization across its portfolio of consumer nutrition brands. You will serve as the technical backbone connecting R&D, manufacturing partners, suppliers, and quality teams to translate innovative formulations into scalable, efficient production.
Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end process improvements across the manufacturing footprint; managing performance across the co-manufacturing and supplier network; optimizing production lines, capacity, and resource efficiency; and supporting quality systems and OEE initiatives. You will collaborate closely with R&D during early-stage formulation to ensure technical feasibility and scalability, then drive commercialization by translating bench-scale processes into full commercial production with minimal friction.
You will audit and validate new manufacturing sites, lead scale-up efforts using design of experiments and data-driven validation, and manage technology transfer, documentation, and training across facilities and partners. You'll also support the Quality team with regulatory validation, risk assessment (IQ/OQ/PQ, FMEA, HACCP), and compliance activities.
The role is based in New York City with a five-day in-office expectation and travel of 2–3 weeks per month for commercialization and production trials. You'll need a degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) and 4+ years of experience in process design, scale-up, and manufacturing optimization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, data-driven thinking, exceptional cross-functional communication, and a bias toward action and continuous learning are essential. A passion for innovation, sustainability, and building iconic consumer brands is valued.
