Robinhood is seeking a Privacy Engineer to join its Privacy Engineering team in New York. The role focuses on protecting customer trust by embedding privacy into every layer of Robinhood's technology and culture. Key responsibilities include conducting detailed privacy architecture reviews to identify risks and recommend controls; partnering with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Compliance teams to implement privacy-by-design principles from inception to launch; building and utilizing AI agents to automate and scale privacy operations; guiding the selection and deployment of privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) aligned with technical architecture and regulatory requirements; advising stakeholders on compliance with evolving global privacy regulations; and leading internal efforts to share privacy best practices across engineering teams. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field, with 2+ years of hands-on experience in data privacy, security, or privacy engineering. Strong proficiency with AI and demonstrated experience building and utilizing agents to solve operational or technical problems is essential. Candidates should have experience managing both technical and operational processes in fast-moving environments, familiarity with regulatory frameworks (GLBA, GDPR, CCPA), hands-on knowledge of privacy-enhancing technologies and data anonymization practices, and strong cross-functional communication skills. This is a hybrid role based in the New York office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
