Enpal is Germany's first green unicorn, building an integrated platform for decentralized energy solutions including solar installations, battery storage, EV charging, smart meters, and heat pumps. The company's AI-powered Enpal.One platform intelligently networks thousands of systems and optimizes electricity procurement and feed-in at the energy market.
You will lead a high-impact, highly visible role reporting to C-level with direct influence on core business operations. You will manage and develop a team of several FTEs within Venture Development, including personnel and training strategy. Your responsibilities include:
- Building structures, systems, and tools to scale Enpal's operations, improving efficiency and quality
- End-to-end ownership of optimizing and redesigning physical field operations, including on-site scheduling, capacity management, and route planning
- Establishing and managing a KPI system with regular performance reviews across operational leadership
- Identifying bottlenecks and improvement opportunities through process and data analysis
- Prioritizing and implementing automation and AI projects in collaboration with the tech team
- Developing and piloting new solutions and venture ideas for integration into core business
- Evaluating all initiatives via business cases, owning savings and portfolio impact
- Close collaboration with Sales and Fulfillment, managing interfaces through structured formats and shared KPIs
- Active stakeholder management across Product, Tech, Logistics, and international operational teams
- Preparing decision documents and reporting on status, timing, and savings for C-level executives
The role offers hybrid flexibility with the option to work up to 30 days annually abroad (Workflex). You'll work from Enpal's modern Berlin-Friedrichshain office with a diverse team of 65+ nationalities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Multiple years of leadership experience optimizing physical operations (e.g., field service, logistics, installation, network operations)
- Proven experience building KPI systems and performance management
- Successful execution of automation, digitalization, or venture projects with measurable cost or quality impact
- Strong stakeholder management at interfaces, ideally with Sales and Fulfillment collaboration experience
- Experience working with intercultural, distributed teams
- Strong analytical skills and confident business case development
- High execution capability, rapid operational impact, and comfort with on-site presence
- Confident communication with C-level and stakeholders at all levels, comfort with high-visibility, results-accountable roles
- Fluent German and English (business proficiency)
