Ripple is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead large cross-functional programs within Ripple Core, reporting to the Head of TPM. This is a strategic and hands-on role requiring deep expertise in synthesizing business and technical requirements while ensuring solutions address both current and future customer needs.
You will partner closely with product and engineering teams to design robust, scalable systems, manage product schedules, remove roadblocks, and maintain high development velocity. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with the ability to get hands-on when needed, driving technical leadership to deliver customer-focused solutions to complex, ambiguous challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing department-level priorities and strategy across strategic product initiatives by deeply understanding customers and technology
- Reducing ambiguity and risk by proactively identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, raising issues strategically, and making data-driven decisions
- Communicating with clarity and purpose to align cross-functional teams around program objectives
- Serving as a role model and inspiring leader for other TPMs
- Creating technical frameworks for engineering team decision-making
- Improving operational excellence processes across the organization
- Partnering with program managers, product managers, and engineering managers to drive alignment across multiple stakeholders
- Coordinating testing and release dependencies across engineering teams as products converge for release
- Building release, bug, and progress-tracking dashboards to advise partners on development progress and identify gaps

Requirements:
- 12+ years of release and/or technical program management experience on projects involving sophisticated enterprise tech environments, working directly with multiple cross-functional teams
- Ability to use data and analytics to assess trends and monitor project and system health
- Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of software development and modern project management processes (Agile, Scrum, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Ability to coordinate multi-functionally, build consensus, and deliver across teams; ability to influence without authority, negotiate, and encourage others in a matrixed environment
- Experience with project planning tools such as Jira and Confluence, and proficiency in Google Sheets
- Experience crafting or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling)
- Experience in Payments, Custody, Stablecoin, and/or Blockchain ecosystems
