Key responsibilities include: shipping features for AI coding tools; building and improving AI and developer-observability tools; owning internal MCP servers (GitLab, Confluence, Jira, Backstage); building AI agents; maintaining context engineering (shared configs, prompt libraries, agent instructions); integrating AI tooling into CI/CD pipelines; handling security and access controls; tracking adoption and usage; triaging support requests; owning projects end-to-end from roadmap through operation; mentoring teammates; and responding to incidents.
Required skills: strong coding ability in TypeScript, Go, Rust, and Bash; excellent debugging; source control expertise; Kubernetes or similar platform deployment and operations; ability to break down complex problems and drive them to completion; mentoring experience.
Bonus experience includes: building LLM-based tools in production (agents, evals, cost/latency tuning); CI/CD and build tooling; Cloudflare platform experience (Workers, AI Gateway); large-scale on-premise Kubernetes operations; multi-zone/region platform building; platform engineering or developer-productivity team background; open-source contributions to developer tooling or AI projects.
