Intelligence Center X (ICX) is Siemens' platform for the agentic enterprise, combining trusted data, AI, and applications into systems that can reason and act autonomously. The platform delivers five core capabilities: Enterprise Knowledge Graph, AI/ML, agentic application development, orchestration, and governance—enabling enterprises to move from static software to intelligent, autonomous systems. As a Principal Solutions Architect, you will be the technical leader for customer engagements delivered by Siemens Professional Services. You will work across industries and a broad portfolio including Intelligence Center X, SLC, Mendix, and other Siemens Digital Industries Software offerings, translating business outcomes and process needs into secure, scalable, and supportable solution architectures. You will lead solution definition from discovery through design, build, integration, validation, deployment, and transition. You govern the integrity of end-to-end solutions, align customer and delivery teams around clear architectural decisions, and ensure functional and non-functional requirements are implemented using Siemens methods, standard capabilities, and reusable patterns. Key responsibilities include: conducting technical discovery workshops to understand customer processes, data, systems, and constraints; defining end-to-end architecture across applications, data, integrations, AI, workflow, identity, and security; owning technical integrity and coherence of complete solutions; providing day-to-day technical direction to consultants, developers, data and AI specialists, and integration resources; serving as primary technical advisor to customers; identifying and mitigating architecture, integration, data, security, and deployment risks; and supporting engagement shaping, proposals, and practice development through reusable reference architectures and mentoring. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams across customer, partner, and distributed delivery environments, managing technical scope, design decisions, dependencies, and change control. Success requires hands-on architecture leadership, strong customer communication, disciplined technical governance, and the ability to orchestrate complex solutions that can be operated and expanded over time. REQUIREMENTS: - Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise software or digital transformation solutions, including technical leadership of multi-disciplinary implementation teams - Demonstrated ability to lead solution definition through build, integration, testing, deployment, and transition to operations - Strong architecture skills across applications, data, integrations, workflows, security, and non-functional requirements - Ability to translate business processes and desired outcomes into clear solution designs, implementation guidance, and acceptance criteria - Experience governing technical scope, design decisions, risks, dependencies, and change across customer, partner, and distributed delivery teams - Excellent workshop facilitation, presentation, written communication, and executive-level technical storytelling skills - Ability to navigate ambiguity, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive timely decisions - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience - Willingness to travel and work across customer locations and time zones as required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience with Siemens Digital Industries Software (Intelligence Center X, SLC, Mendix, Teamcenter, NX, Opcenter, Graph Studio, AI Studio) - Experience architecting multi-product solutions connecting enterprise applications, industrial data, AI, low-code applications, and business workflows - Experience in industrial, manufacturing, aerospace and defense, automotive, electronics, semiconductor, energy, or complex enterprise environments - Experience with cloud and hybrid architectures, APIs, integration patterns, data platforms, identity and access management, DevSecOps, or enterprise observability - Experience leading prescriptive, best-practice-led deployments balancing customer needs with standard capabilities - Experience directing offshore, nearshore, partner, or systems-integrator teams - Relevant architecture, cloud, platform, security, or Siemens product certifications
