PPRO is a global payments platform enabling major companies like PayPal, Stripe, and Microsoft to access local payment methods and connect with billions of consumers worldwide. The company operates across 50+ nationalities in 10+ locations and is targeting 3x growth by 2028.
The Card Payments team owns end-to-end engineering for payment processing, managing over 50 brands across Latin America and Europe. The team handles 3DS authentication, scheme connections, real-time accounting, reconciliation, and billing systems.
As Principal Software Engineer, you will be a technical leader driving PPRO's most significant architectural and strategic decisions. You'll solve complex technical problems, lead architectural choices, and mentor fellow engineers while remaining hands-on with coding. Your scope includes shaping the technical strategy and system landscape for the Card Payments domain, with particular focus on LatAm product innovation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving architectural decisions for card payment systems and infrastructure
- Mentoring and developing engineering talent across the team
- Solving complex technical challenges in payments, authentication, and reconciliation
- Contributing hands-on code alongside the team
- Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver innovative payment solutions
- Building foundations for real-time accounting and billing systems
