Ottometric is building next-generation AI and computer vision platforms for autonomous driving and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). The company specializes in processing petabyte-scale multimodal sensor data, building proprietary KPI computation engines, and deploying AI-assisted root-cause discovery for safety-critical automotive systems.
As Principal Software Engineer, you will architect and design the next-generation production-grade big data backend that integrates AI and computer vision components. This is a technical leadership role focused on building scalable, reliable platforms that process massive amounts of data using advanced algorithms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participate in architecting and designing the next-gen platform
- Integrate sophisticated algorithms for object detection, tracking, classification, and VLM-based scene understanding into systems processing massive data volumes
- Guide implementation of the data platform, data pipelines, AI services, and platform APIs
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and delivery predictability
- Continuously improve development and deployment processes
- Collaborate closely with product, data, and AI stakeholders
Required qualifications:
- MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field
- Proven experience in software architecture and design
- Practical exposure to backend systems processing high volumes of data
- Strong Python expertise
- Practical exposure to big data and AI/computer vision systems
- Ability to translate product and business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience delivering AI-enabled/computer vision products to production and familiarity with microservice-based distributed systems and cloud platforms.
