Imagine Pediatrics is a tech-enabled, pediatrician-led medical group delivering 24/7 virtual-first and in-home medical, behavioral, and social care for children with special healthcare needs. As Principal Software Engineer, you will shape technical strategy across the engineering organization, serving as a trusted technical advisor to engineering leadership and executives. You will lead solutioning, planning, and execution of long-term technical strategy, translating business and clinical goals into a technical vision. You'll define architectural standards and drive long-term architectural strategy across the organization. Acting as a trusted advisor to VPs and the CTO, you'll explore early-stage ideas and proofs of concept to de-risk future initiatives before they're staffed. You will coach and mentor senior and staff-level engineers, designing and developing complex systems used across teams. You'll drive tech-wide collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and craftsmanship practices, modeling strong inter-team collaboration. Your scope includes driving innovation in your technical domain and ensuring successful delivery of complex, cross-org projects with company-wide impact. Key responsibilities include championing AI adoption across engineering and products, advocating for engineers to leadership while aligning technical decisions with business priorities, and participating in on-call rotation for production incidents. You'll be an effective communicator, translating complex technical concepts for clinical, product, and business leaders. You'll partner cross-functionally to understand goals and translate them into technical architecture and requirements, using a data-driven, iterative approach to building products. You'll produce technical solutions focused on scalability, stability, efficiency, maintainability, and extensibility using modern technologies, and shape the organization's learning culture and long-term engineering process strategy.
