Salary: USD 221,200 - 387,100 / annual
Armis, part of ServiceNow's Strategic Initiatives team, is building a new AI Center of Excellence focused on designing and shipping AI-native solutions. This is a builder role for engineers fluent in modern AI application development—agent frameworks, tool use, prompting, retrieval, and evaluation—not machine learning research.
You will design, build, and bring to production AI agents, assistants, and reusable skills that solve real security problems for Armis and its customers. The role emphasizes rapid MVP development followed by hardening into production-ready systems with rigorous evaluation built in from the start. You'll compose agentic workflows with security-by-construction principles, select appropriate frameworks and models, and establish reusable patterns and best practices for the Center of Excellence. You'll also contribute to the COE Consult team supporting other parts of the organization, and document solutions for operational clarity.
Key responsibilities include: designing and shipping production-ready AI models and agents; turning ideas into working MVPs quickly, then partnering with engineering teams to harden them; building evaluation discipline into everything shipped—defining success metrics, measuring quality/safety/reliability before and after deployment; composing secure agentic workflows with appropriate isolation and guardrails; selecting and integrating the right frameworks, tools, and models; and documenting solutions for use, operation, and evaluation.
Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Initiatives, you'll work at the intersection of AI capability and security mission impact, with emphasis on rigor, evaluation discipline, and shipping solutions that actually work.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated expertise in multi-agentic AI solutions
- Proven track record building and shipping real AI solutions (agents, assistants, copilots, skills) that were deployed and used in production, not just prototyped
- Deep, hands-on familiarity with modern agent frameworks and developer tooling, including top-3 provider SDKs (Claude, OpenAI, Google) and SKILL.md skills standard
- Strong evaluation discipline: building test sets, defining metrics, measuring quality/safety/reliability before and after deployment
- Proficiency in Python and experience integrating APIs, tools, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
PREFERRED:
- Experience in security or building AI solutions for security use cases
