iSpot.tv is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to lead the technical vision and architecture of its data measurement platform. This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategic thinking with hands-on engineering work.
You will define and implement the forward-looking technical direction for iSpot's measurement and data processing platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance at scale. Key responsibilities include designing core architecture to support real-time data ingestion, large-scale analytics, and seamless integration with partner ecosystems. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, product, data science, and leadership teams to align technology strategy with business goals, particularly around cross-platform ad measurement and data partnerships.
As a technical mentor, you will guide engineers in best practices for coding, design, and architecture, fostering a culture of innovation and technical rigor. You'll serve as a key contributor in elevating technical talent through hiring, onboarding, and professional development initiatives.
You will identify and address complex technical challenges in high-volume data processing, cloud infrastructure, and data security, driving experimentation and adoption of new technologies. You'll actively participate in roadmap planning, influencing decisions related to technology, product development, and feature design.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential: work with data science to enhance methodology and real-time processing, with product management to shape user-centric solutions, and with security and compliance teams to embed best practices into product and infrastructure design.
You'll also represent iSpot in industry forums and conferences, contributing thought leadership on data processing, ad tech, and streaming measurement.
The role requires a minimum of 12 years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in large-scale data processing, cloud-native architecture, and real-time analytics. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
