As Principal Software Architect, you will be a hands-on individual contributor responsible for shaping application and platform architecture to enable next-generation intelligent, distributed testing solutions. This is a foundational technical leadership role with high ownership and autonomy.
Key responsibilities include: architecting and deploying scalable, production-grade services across the core platform; authoring architectural standards and reference patterns to decouple the monolith into modular services; partnering with the Director of Engineering on frontend framework consolidation; designing systems with security, cost-efficiency, and ISO 27001 compliance at the center; integrating secure AI/LLM patterns into customer-facing surfaces with operational guardrails; and advising executive, product, and engineering teams on major technical tradeoffs.
You will need 15+ years of hands-on software development building cloud-native, business-critical platforms. Required expertise includes distributed system patterns, data modeling, event-driven design, relational and NoSQL databases, monolith-to-services migration, AWS infrastructure (high availability, cost optimization, security), modern full-stack frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and production-grade AI/ML or LLM deployment experience. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for presenting complex architecture to diverse stakeholders.
