Salary: USD 145,399 - 191,927 / annual

The Principal Scrum Master leads agile delivery at an enterprise level, working across Data Architecture, Software Engineering, Business Information Management, Analytics, and Business teams to deliver complex solutions supporting WelbeHealth's strategic priorities. This role is accountable for leading a team of Scrum Masters and delivering leads as organizational needs grow.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing agile solution development and delivery, transitioning development staff toward structured, iterative value delivery
- Fostering an agile mindset across the organization through training on agile methodologies
- Guiding Scrum teams to follow accepted Agile/Scrum practices, promoting prioritization, team readiness, and sprint commitment
- Using empirical data to assess Scrum maturity, optimize team velocity, and identify performance improvement opportunities
- Proactively addressing systemic impediments to team agility and escalating challenges to prevent blockers
- Partnering with Product teams on continuous backlog refinement and executing data and information engineering projects through agile implementation
- Liaising with Business and Technical teams to identify process improvements and facilitate scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, daily standups, sprint reviews)
- Shaping and maturing how WelbeHealth delivers technology and data solutions, establishing agile practices, coaching Scrum teams and leaders, and driving continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience in software engineering, project management, data execution and delivery, and analytics engineering solutions, with focus on managing high-visibility, ambiguous, and complex projects
- Minimum 3 years of practicing Agile Scrum Master experience
- Minimum 5 years of solution delivery leadership experience, particularly in information management, data engineering solution delivery, analytics delivery (Kanban), and operational workflow simplification
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale initiatives focused on driving strategic business objectives through application and data architecture and business-facing solutions
- Minimum 2 years of Azure DevOps experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience mentoring and developing Scrum team members strongly preferred
