LeoLabs is building a living map of activity in space through a proprietary global radar network and AI-enabled analytics platform. The company collects millions of measurements daily on over 25,000 objects in low Earth orbit, providing radar-powered intelligence for space domain awareness, space traffic management, and satellite operations to commercial and government customers. The Hardware Engineering Team designs, builds, manufactures, and deploys advanced radar systems that provide persistent orbital intelligence globally. As a Principal Radio Systems Engineer, you will lead the design and architecture of electronics powering next-generation radar systems. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will own complex system-level hardware designs across multiple programs, guiding designs from concept through validation, manufacturing, and deployment. You will be responsible for solving difficult technical problems, mentoring other engineers, working in dynamic teams, and interfacing with external partners and customers. The role combines deep technical expertise in radio systems and electronics with leadership responsibilities for hardware architecture and cross-program design strategy. You'll work on mission-critical challenges at the forefront of aerospace, national security, and space technology, directly impacting the safety and security of commercial and allied defense space operations.
