Jane is a high-growth SaaS company serving healthcare practitioners with practice management software. Over 70,000 businesses and 250,000+ practitioners use Jane daily across North America.
This Principal Product Marketing Manager role owns Jane's core platform positioning, messaging architecture, and brand-level value proposition. You will be the steward of how Jane is positioned to practitioners across all touchpoints—website, campaigns, trials, and sales conversations.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and actively manage Jane's core platform positioning, messaging architecture, and claims strategy. Develop the value proposition, communication pillars, and proof points that make Jane's story credible. Bring platform value framing and competitive intelligence to pricing and packaging decisions.
- Connect product roadmap to market narrative. Partner with Product leadership to understand what's coming, translate it into positioning early, and ensure current messaging sets up future stories.
- Drive growth channel strategy. Work with Product Growth on trial experience targeting and funnel optimization. Collaborate with Web and Design on information architecture, conversion testing, and ensuring positioning discipline across all core touchpoints.
- Enable frontline teams. Build talk tracks, competitive responses, and messaging frameworks for Support and Customer Success so every conversation is anchored in Jane's core platform value.
- Operate cross-functionally. Partner with Brand, Web, Growth, Product, and frontline teams. Balance strategic positioning work with hands-on copywriting, funnel analysis, and playbook building.
Requirements:
- 7+ years in Product Marketing or closely related role, with platform or brand-level experience.
- Demonstrated strength in customer-backed positioning and messaging architecture; experience building frameworks others use and maintain.
- Experience partnering on product-led growth (PLG) motions: funnel strategy, trial optimization, self-serve acquisition.
- Ability to translate product strategy and roadmap inputs into positioning before launch.
- Experience with SaaS pricing and packaging strategy, including competitive analysis, willingness-to-pay research, and packaging trade-offs.
- Strong website marketing expertise: information architecture, conversion thinking, cross-functional collaboration with design and engineering.
- Strong enablement instincts and ability to build efficient structures for frontline teams.
- Analytical skills with funnel and campaign data; strong writing ability to shape copy and messaging directly.
- Healthcare SaaS or highly regulated vertical experience is a meaningful plus.
- Comfortable building playbooks and creating structure from ambiguity.
