Lambda is a leader in AI cloud infrastructure serving tens of thousands of customers, from AI researchers to enterprises and hyperscalers. The company's mission is to make compute as ubiquitous as electricity and give everyone access to superintelligence. As Principal Product Manager for NVIDIA Technology Partnerships on the Foundational Infrastructure team, you will be the strategic bridge between Lambda and NVIDIA—managing three distinct but interconnected relationships: partner, investor, and supplier. This is a high-judgment role that requires staying ahead of NVIDIA's hardware and software roadmap and deciding what Lambda should adopt, productize, or pass on. Key responsibilities include: - Track NVIDIA's roadmap far enough in advance to enable Lambda to plan proactively rather than react. - Make adoption decisions on which NVIDIA hardware and software to productize into On-Demand GPU Instances, 1-Click Clusters, and private cloud deployments, with clear reasoning documented. - Own the full product lifecycle of adopted technologies: packaging, pricing, launch criteria, and customer delivery. - Serve as the single point of contact between both companies, routing requests to the right owners and ensuring nothing falls through cracks. - Own the product side of joint engineering programs, including scope definition and acceptance criteria. - Collaborate with Lambda's hardware product managers during GPU generation transitions from evaluation to production. - Translate partnership outcomes into requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering. - Communicate clearly when Lambda will not pursue something, maintaining relationship health through transparency. - Measure adoption decisions before and after implementation to validate judgment. - Work cross-functionally with product managers owning compute, storage, networking, orchestration, and security. This role requires presence in the Bellevue or San Francisco office 4 days per week (Tuesday is the designated remote day). Lambda was founded in 2012 and now has 500+ employees. Investors include NVIDIA, Andrej Karpathy, ARK Invest, In-Q-Tel, and others. The company has published research at NeurIPS, ICCV, SIGGRAPH, and TOG. Requirements: - 10+ years of product management experience, including time at a cloud provider, systems company, or silicon vendor. - Proven ownership of a strategic technology partnership where two companies built things together (not just transactional buy/sell). - Ability to read silicon and systems roadmaps and judge implications for a cloud business. - Deep enough GPU platform knowledge to have substantive technical conversations with hardware designers. - Experience making adoption decisions with significant capital and engineering costs; ability to explain decisions that didn't work out. - Track record running programs requiring coordinated engineering delivery across company boundaries. - Demonstrated ability to say no to powerful counterparts while preserving relationships. - Skill in defining iterative plans that move organizations from current to desired state. - Strong written and verbal communication; ability to make decisions easier for people without shared context. Nice to have: - Experience with GPU or accelerator platforms and their qualification-to-production lifecycle. - Experience evaluating pre-release silicon or systems technology and making build/buy/partner decisions. - Experience treating data center power, cooling, or density as product inputs. - Experience evaluating infrastructure software for adoption. - Prior co-development program leadership with external partners. - Background at a GPU cloud, hyperscaler, or AI infrastructure company.
