Tigera is hiring a Principal Product Manager to drive strategy and execution for Calico, a unified network security and observability platform for Kubernetes clusters. Calico powers over 100M containers across 8M+ nodes globally and is used by leading enterprises including Discover, Chipotle, NBCUniversal, and Royal Bank of Canada. This is a senior, high-ownership role at the center of a major market shift: enterprises are converging container and VM workloads on single platforms while deploying AI applications at scale. Calico's networking solution is critical infrastructure for this transition. You will own product vision and roadmap for major Calico platform initiatives from MVP through GA, including extending converged networking for VM workloads in Kubernetes. You will define competitive positioning in the Kubernetes networking and security market, craft differentiated narratives around platform value (unified networking, microsegmentation, DNS policy, cluster-mesh, observability), and develop go-to-market strategy across sales-led and partner-led motions. Key responsibilities include: running structured customer discovery and validation with enterprise accounts; partnering with engineering on scope and delivery; driving messaging and positioning discipline across the organization; owning the first five deals to establish repeatable playbooks; and enabling sales and solutions engineering teams to scale. You will work hybrid from Tigera's San Francisco or San Jose office, partnering directly with engineering, sales, marketing, and ecosystem partners. The role requires deep product strategy skills, ability to navigate complex technical infrastructure decisions, and proven success launching platform capabilities in competitive markets.
