Vertice is an AI-powered intelligent procurement platform that helps enterprises optimize their technology spending and vendor negotiations. The company has processed $75bn+ in spend, consistently delivers 20% savings to customers, and has achieved 13X revenue growth over two years. Backed by $100M+ in Series C funding from top-tier investors, Vertice operates globally with hubs in London, New York, Brno, Sydney, and Johannesburg. As Principal Procurement Manager, Strategic, you will lead Vertice's most strategic, highest-value client relationships, particularly those referred by private equity partners. This role combines hands-on procurement leadership with team mentorship and C-suite partnership. Key responsibilities include: owning strategic account delivery for a portfolio of high-value clients; partnering directly with C-suite and senior stakeholders to understand their technology strategy and requirements; implementing enterprise sourcing strategies that balance innovation with best practice; leveraging Vertice's proprietary agentic workflows and AI-driven vendor insights to strengthen negotiation positions and accelerate deal cycles; and mentoring junior team members to raise delivery standards. You will negotiate directly with SaaS vendors that dominate customer tech stacks, own outcomes end-to-end, and translate deep technology strategy into commercial results. This is not a role managing routine renewals—you will shape commercial strategy, challenge both customers and suppliers creatively, and move faster than traditional in-house procurement teams. Required qualifications: substantial experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or procurement consulting with strong stakeholder management and timeline discipline. Technology and SaaS category management experience is highly preferred. You must be a strategic partner capable of providing procurement insights to customers, a compelling communicator (written, verbal, and executive-facing), and AI-curious—actively experimenting with AI tools and excited to work at a company where AI is core to procurement operations, not peripheral.
