Payoneer is seeking a Principal Mobile Engineer to lead the design, development, and scaling of high-performance mobile applications for Android and iOS. Founded in 2005, Payoneer is a global financial platform serving over 2,500 colleagues and customers across 190+ countries, removing friction from cross-border business transactions.
In this role, you will lead the charge in architecting and building cutting-edge mobile experiences while mentoring a team of talented mobile engineers. You'll set the technical bar for performance, reliability, and user experience across native (Swift, Kotlin) and cross-platform technologies (Flutter, React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform). Your responsibilities include collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to deliver innovative features, staying ahead of mobile technology trends, and influencing architecture decisions across the mobile domain.
You bring 9+ years of mobile development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Android or iOS. You have deep understanding of at least one cross-platform framework (Flutter, React Native, or KMP), with React Native being a bonus. You're passionate about mobile fundamentals—memory management, threading, app lifecycle, and UI performance optimization—and obsess over measuring and improving metrics like startup times, frozen frames, and app size. You possess excellent communication and leadership skills to mentor and inspire teams, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality practices is a plus.
