True Anomaly is seeking a Principal Mission Cloud Engineer to architect and manage multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure for critical U.S. Government space defense programs. This is a hands-on individual contributor role requiring deep expertise in cloud infrastructure at Impact Levels 4, 5, and 6+, with responsibility for designing resilient, scalable, and compliant cloud networks across multiple classification boundaries. Key responsibilities include architecting AWS and Azure cloud networks from the ground up across IL-4, IL-5, and IL-6+ environments; designing multi-cloud infrastructure spanning multiple platforms and classification domains; partnering with industrial security and information systems security engineers to ensure compliance with program security requirements; building and maintaining cloud infrastructure tooling in direct support of multiple in-flight USG programs; designing cloud network architectures including VPCs, VNets, transit gateways, peering, routing, and boundary protection controls; implementing identity and access management frameworks and least-privilege access models; supporting cloud Provisional Authorization processes and inherited control models for classified environments; documenting architectures and configurations to support Authorization to Operate; identifying and remediating findings from STIGs and vulnerability scans; ensuring compliance with NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, ICD 503, JSIG, and other NSS frameworks; and staying current on emerging cloud security capabilities. Required qualifications include 10-15+ years of hands-on cloud engineering or infrastructure experience with significant AWS and Azure expertise at scale; active Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI; DoD 8140 IAT Level III certification (CASP+, CISSP, CISA, or equivalent); proven experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure at IL-4, IL-5, and/or IL-6+ impact levels; deep expertise architecting AWS and Azure networks including VPCs, VNets, transit gateways, routing, DNS, and boundary protection; experience managing multi-cloud environments across multiple platforms and classification domains; strong knowledge of cloud security controls and shared responsibility models; and experience supporting RMF processes, ATO activities, and compliance with applicable frameworks.
