Re:Build Manufacturing operates an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform serving aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy, and robotics sectors. Re:Build DAPR Engineering, their design and analysis consulting subsidiary in Merrimack, NH, designs custom automation solutions, develops industrial products with OEMs, and provides FEA engineering analysis.
You will serve as Principal Mechanical Engineer, supporting project teams across all development phases from concept through machine testing. Your responsibilities include designing mechanical systems, creating fabrication drawings, BOMs, schematics, and assembly documentation. You'll coach and mentor junior engineers, participate in client meetings and design reviews, and contribute to proposal development including concept generation and cost estimation. During machine builds, you'll support technicians in problem-solving and solution delivery.
You bring a BS in Mechanical Engineering plus minimum 8 years in design engineering roles with experience coaching junior team members. You have strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. You're proficient in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and experienced with motion systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics. Experience with FEA tools (Ansys, Mathcad), automation mechanism design, complex electro-mechanical systems, and precision mechanical solutions is valued.
