Turing is a leading AI research accelerator and enterprise AI systems builder based in San Francisco. The company partners with Fortune 500 enterprises to deploy advanced AI systems, including multi-agent LLM systems, RAG architectures, and open-source LLM deployments. You will join the GenAI delivery organization as a Principal AI Engineer, taking a senior technical leadership role on enterprise AI projects. This is a hands-on position where you will architect, build, and deploy generative AI solutions while leading and mentoring engineering teams. Key responsibilities include: - Designing and owning the technical roadmap for GenAI projects based on business requirements - Leading engineering teams to execute the roadmap and ensure customer satisfaction - Developing and optimizing LLM-based solutions using prompt engineering, RAG, and agent-based architectures - Maintaining high-quality Python codebases (LangChain/LangGraph) and SQL implementations - Deploying GenAI applications on cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) with robust CI/CD processes - Collaborating cross-functionally with product owners, data scientists, and business stakeholders - Mentoring engineers and fostering best practices in ML and LLM development - Staying current with LLM research and proposing emerging techniques for continuous improvement Required qualifications: - 8+ years of professional engineering experience, with 4–6+ years specializing in AI/ML model development and deployment - 1+ year of hands-on generative AI experience (prompt engineering, RAG, agents) - Expert-level architecture skills for GenAI applications and frameworks - Strong proficiency with Azure, GCP, or AWS cloud services - Expert-level Python, LangChain/LangGraph, and SQL skills - Demonstrated ability to drive engineering teams toward technical roadmaps - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
