The Principal Field Engineer is a senior technical leader who owns the customer relationship from initial validation through expansion adoption, serving as a critical bridge between customers, sales, and product teams.
You will lead client engagement and solution development, acting as a trusted technical liaison for key accounts. You'll move clients from high-level strategy to live implementations using Cognite's Fast AI Prototyping capabilities via Atlas AI™ and Cognite Data Fusion®. A core focus is agentic solution development—designing and implementing first-of-their-kind industrial AI agents and applications using the Atlas AI workbench and Cognite Flows to automate complex workflows, grounded in the Industrial Knowledge Graph.
You will educate clients on Cognite's platform, develop client-focused demos and reference architectures, and represent Cognite in technical meetings and workshops. Internally, you'll act as a bridge between customers and the Product organization, translating client feedback into actionable product requirements and providing market insights to inform strategy.
You'll partner with field engineering and sales teams to provide technical support on opportunities, serve as an escalation point for complex engagements, and organize high-quality client workshops. This role combines hands-on technical depth with strategic account leadership, requiring expertise in AI/ML solution architecture, industrial domain knowledge, and the ability to guide teams through complex implementations.
