Celonis, a global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology, is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to design transformative solution architectures for enterprise customers. This role combines deep technical expertise with executive presence, requiring you to engage confidently with C-level stakeholders and translate strategic business objectives into actionable technical strategies.
You will lead architecture, data, and cloud strategy initiatives for the company's largest client accounts, serving as a bridge between Celonis' product and engineering teams and customer technical teams. Key responsibilities include designing enterprise modernization solutions leveraging capability mapping and Agentic AI, assessing customer IT landscape maturity, and participating in both pre-sales and post-sales engagement phases with customer architecture and security teams.
You will coach Celonis consulting teams and ecosystem partners on technical implementation challenges including architecture, integration, performance, and scalability. You'll develop reusable assets for consulting teams, create customer-facing position papers and thought leadership presentations, and produce technical designs and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Success is measured by new customer acquisition rates, retention, upselling, and overall contribution to sales team and business objectives. The role demands someone who can confidently switch between explaining architecture diagrams and coding/assembling technical demos.
Required qualifications include 10-15 years of relevant experience as a software vendor architect, consulting firm CTO, or enterprise architect at a customer organization. You need strong backgrounds in data architecture, integration patterns, and development experience with data-related languages (SQL, Python). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation abilities, and creativity are essential.
You should have deep technical knowledge of system integrations, data operations, automation capabilities, cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions (Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics CRM, ServiceNow), cybersecurity fundamentals, API ecosystems, and legacy on-premise enterprise architectures. An MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT-related degree is required. Fluency in English plus an additional language (Spanish, French, or Italian) is advantageous.
Preferred qualifications include Celonis certifications and experience with OCPM and Case Centric Data Pipelines, AWS/Azure/GCP certifications, ESB/ETL certifications (Mulesoft, Oracle, SAP, Talend, Informatica), and experience in at least two domains (Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer/Consumer Management, HR, Procurement) and two industries (Consumer Goods, Banking, Pharma, Aerospace, Telco, Transport).
